Bluebird Counseling Services was founded in July 2022 by Alexandria (Alex) Gohla, LCSW, Ed.S., in response to the growing demand for compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for students, families, educators, and first responders.
We’re expanding our team and looking for licensed and pre-licensed clinicians who are eager to make a difference through flexible, telehealth-based therapy across Illinois. If you’re ready to grow, collaborate, and be part of a supportive, heart-centered team — we’d love to hear from you.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re hiring part-time licensed or pre-licensed clinicians who embody Bluebird’s core values: compassion, curiosity, collaboration, and authenticity.
Candidates must:
Hold or be eligible for an Illinois license (LPC/LCPC, LSW/LCSW, MFT/LMFT).
Have 2+ years of experience in the mental health field.
Be trained in or open to working through a holistic, trauma-informed, and multi-systemic lens.
Be paneled or willing to be paneled with BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, Cigna/Evernorth, and United Healthcare/Optum.
Ideal candidates are:
Kind-hearted and drama-averse.
Passionate about therapy and lifelong learning.
Open-minded, flexible, and eager to collaborate.
Ready to be treated like the professional you are — with trust, respect, and autonomy.
